porlhews.co.uk is funded entirely by the owner; Paul Hughes. This is a personal website and so has no paid employees nor does it pay anyone for any of the content it uses.

The website relies upon the good nature of both individuals and larger organisations to contribute what they will. The list of contributors is extensive and so I have made great effort to ensure that all works are attributed appropriately; if you think I've missed anything then please email me.

porlhews.co.uk received over 10,000 unique visitors in 2007 - with 8,850 of these individuals using the physics section of the website. The majority of these individuals were university physics students.

In January 2008 a friend of mine suggested that I use this resource, which I offer freely, to raise money for charity. Recognising the large audience the website has, I agreed and so porlhews.co.uk will accept upto two adverts on each of the physics pages. There are six such pages and therefore twelve advertising spaces available.

Each advert will be of a banner form measuring 600 pixels by 150 pixels. I will only accept a donation to the chosen charity of £1000 per year. This may sound extravagant, however given the size of the companies that are interested in physics graduates I don't believe this to be too ambitious.
